Judge Corfu as a winter home, not a holiday. Look at access to healthcare and shops, heating and damp, transport frequency and the distance to Corfu Town when seasonal businesses are closed.

I would rent through one winter first. Damp and distance to Corfu Town mattered much more in January than they did when we visited in June.

Year-round life can be lovely, but choose the exact area for winter services, not for the prettiest summer taverna.
