Hi, we’re Nick & Karen — husband and wife, partners in adventure. Nick is Greek, Karen is a hard-core New Yorker.

In 2024, life nudged us to make a big change. We were living in Naples, Florida. Our two boys were grown and off conquering the world, when Karen was diagnosed with a rare disorder. That moment pushed us to rethink what mattered most and where our next chapter should unfold.

Nick took a quick scouting trip to Greece in February, and by June 18th — months earlier than planned — we had packed our bags, said goodbye to the U.S., and landed in Kalamata (yes, where the olives come from!). For Karen, it was sight unseen; for Nick, it was a whirlwind 24-hour visit to check out the town.

Now, Greece is home. From the big moves to the small daily discoveries, we’ve been learning, stumbling, laughing, and embracing this new life.
